Head of Publisher Gannett to Take Medical Leave of Absence

McLean, Va. - Gannett (NYSE: GCI), the publisher of USA Today and 83 other daily U.S. newspapers, said that Craig Dubow, its chairman, president and CEO, will take a temporarily medical leave of absence following back surgery. Gracia Martore, the company's executive vice president and CFO, will take over as principal executive officer until Dubow is able to return. "I look forward to a full recovery," said Dubow. The company didn't offer a timetable for his return.
