Adgregate Markets Acquires Widget Ad Network Gydget

Sausalito, Calif. - Adgregate Markets, a provider of transactional advertising technology, announced on Thursday that it has acquired Gydget, a provider of brand-oriented widget advertising services.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sausalito, Calif.-based Adgregate, which to date has raised some $2 million in venture capital, operates the ShopAds network, which turns banner ads into fully transactional e-commerce ad units.

San Francisco-based Gydget operates a widget-based ad network that counts 200,000 installations and a reach of 30 million impressions per month.
