German Live Music Portal Concert Online Gets $4.6 Million

Cologne, Germany - Music Networx, which operates the German live music portal Concert Online, has raised $4.6 million in new funding, led by Earlybird with participation from previous backers DuMont Venture and Klaus Wecken.

Founded in 2006, Cologne-based Music Networx offers bands, labels and other rights holders a platform to record, market and distribute their live performances.

The platform includes the ability for fans to purchase a USB stick or mobile download of the concert they just attended.

Customers have included Franz Ferdinand, Simply Red, and festivals such as Rock im Park and Rock am Ring.
