- Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) announced on Wednesday that it has signed a deal with cable TV
provider Comcast (NASD: CMCSA) to make programming from its Turner Broadcasting unit
available on-demand, as well as online, to Comcast subscribers free of charge.
The deal includes programming from Time Warner's TNT and TBS, which will be added to Comcast's national technical trial of its On Demand Online service next month. The programming will initially be available on Comcast's Comcast.net and Fancast.com, and will eventually be added to TNT.tv and TBS.com. Comcast said it expects other networks to participated as its national trial expands, while Time Warner expects to announce similar trials with other distributors.
