Conn. - Fanzter, a privately-held
new media development company, has acquired Mustache Inc., a Virginia-based
creator of several applications for the iPhone and iPod touch platforms, as
well as multiple software and Web platforms.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2007, Fanzter recently raised $2 million in its second round of venture capital, led by Steamboat Ventures, an affiliate of The Walt Disney Co., and Second Avenue Partners. Mustache's iPhone applications include a Twitter search app called Summizer and Brackets, an NCAA March Madness application.
