San Bruno,
Calif. - Google's (NASD: GOOG) YouTube said on
Thursday that mobile uploads to the site have jumped 1700% in the past six
months, and have been rising 400% per day since Friday, when Apple's (NASD: AAPL) new video-capable
iPhone 3GS went on sale. The company did not break down the numbers any
further, to state how many mobile videos are uploaded daily, or by device, or what
percentage they represent of the total videos uploaded to YouTube, NewTeeVee
noted.
