- Metaversum, the operator of a virtual world called Twinity that recreates
real-world cities and other locations, has raised $6.26 million in a new round
of funding, TechCrunch reported.
Previous backers including Grazia Equity, Balderton Capital, and BFB BeteiligungsFonds Brandenburg participated in the investment round. Berlin-based Twinity has created a virtual city based on the real world Berlin, and plans to launch additional virtual versions of Singapore and London in the coming months.
