ProtonMedia Gets $2.5 Million for Corporate Virtual Worlds

Lansdale, Penn. - ProtonMedia, a provider of virtual world technology for businesses, has raised $2.5 million in new venture capital financing, PaidContent reported, citing an SEC filing.

Details on participating investors were not disclosed.

Lansdale, Penn.-based ProtonMedia has developed 3D virtual world environments for companies including BP, Cisco, Eli Lilly and Johnson & Johnson.

The spaces include built-in application sharing, VoIP, text chat, blogs, wikis and video broadcasting facilities.
