QuickPlay Secures $12 Million for Mobile Video Management

Toronto - QuickPlay Media, a provider of mobile video management services, announced on Monday that it has raised $12 million through a private placement of its shares with investors including General Catalyst Partners, JLA Ventures and Ventures West.

Toronto-based QuickPlay's services are used by more than 150 content providers, and 15 mobile operators. Customers include RIM, Bell and AT&T.

QuickPlay also powers Sirius XM Radio's mobile application for Apple's iPhone and iPod touch.
