City, Calif. - Vindicia, the developer of a payments platform for online
merchants, said that it has raised $7.5 million in its fourth round of funding,
led by ONSET Ventures.
Previous investors Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, DCM and Leader Ventures also participated in the round, which increased the company's backing to more than $21 million. Founded in 2003, Redwood City, Calif.-based Vidicia has developed web-based software that supports a variety of business models, from subscriptions to micropayments. The company said that it handles over 200,000 transactions a day for customers such as Symantec, Intuit, deviantART and Blizzard.
