Web Video Studio Generate Adds $2 Million to First Round

Santa Monica, Calif. - Generate, an online video production firm with talent management and branded entertainment divisions, has added $2 million to its first round of financing, which now totals $8 million, PaidContent reported.

Previous backers Fuse Capital and MK Capital led the investment round.

"We take this as vote of confidence that things are trending in the right direction for us, despite the rough economy," Generate CEO Jordan Levin told PaidContent.

Santa Monica, Calif.-based Generate has produced an online series for TheWB.com, "The Lake," and is currently working with 20th Century Fox studios on unspecified TV projects.
