Wireless HD Chipmaker Amimon Raises $10 Million

Santa Clara, Calif. - Wireless HD chipmaker Amimon announced on Tuesday that it has raised $10 million in a fourth round of funding, led by Stata Venture Partners.

Previous backers Argonaut Private Equity, Cedar Fund, Evergreen Venture Partners, Walden Israel and Motorola Ventures also participated.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based Amimon develops chips used in wireless HDTVs and video accessories.

The company said it has developed six different chips to date with its prior funding, including a new chip based on the WHDI (Wireless Home Digital Interface) standard.
