Sports Blog Network SBNation Lands $8 Million

Washington - SBNation, a network of sports-related blogs, has raised $8 million in new financing, led by Comcast Interactive Capital.

Existing investors including Accel Partners also participated in the round.

Founded in 2003 by former AOL executive Jim Bankoff, Washington-based SBNation operates a network of over 200 sports blogs, written mainly by amateur enthusiasts.

The company's content is featured by partners including Yahoo.
