New York
- Intent Media, a provider of online advertising services, has raised $9
million in its first round of venture capital financing, PEHub.com reported,
citing a regulatory filing.
Matrix Partners led the investment round, which closed in the first quarter. New York-based Intent Media was created by the team that founded Site59.com, a provider of 'last-second' travel arrangement that was acquired by Travelocity in 2002. Intent Media was founded "to solve long-standing strategic problems facing online merchants and direct marketers," and "sits at the intersection of online retail and advertising, and aims to unlock the vast media value that exists inside of e-commerce sites," the company said.
