- Apple (NASD: AAPL) is expected to launch a portable, tablet-sized computer in time for the
holiday shopping season, the Financial Times reported. The device will have up
to a 10-inch diagonal screen, and is thought to connect to the Internet via a
Wi-Fi connection, similar to the iPod touch.
"It's going to be fabulous
for watching movies," one entertainment executive told FT.
Apple is also
reportedly in talks with book publishers on offering e-books on the new device.
