New York - Online video distributor Blip.tv announced on Tuesday that it has signed new partnerships with YouTube, TiVo, Vimeo, Roku and NBC's New York operations, to monetize and track advertising and viewership across its distribution network.

New York-based Blip.tv offers some 38,000 Web video shows, created by a mix of amateurs and professionals and seen by some 22 million viewers per month, and retains 50% of ad revenue generated by the videos.

Through its deal with NBC, Blip will syndicate up to 5,000 of its Web shows to New York's WNBC, to be aired on select TV programs.

YouTube and Vimeo will allow Blip.tv video producers to upload their shows to their sites, while Blip will be able to sell ads against the shows and share revenue with creators.

TiVo and Roku will enable owners of their set-top boxes to browse and view Blip.tv videos on their televisions.

Finally, the company said it signed deals with TubeMogul, which will allow Blip.tv video producers to track viewership of their shows second-by-second, and FreeWheel, which will let Blip.tv distribution partners participate in monetizing content.
