Los Gatos, Calif. - Vhayu Technologies, a developer of tools
used by financial firms to capture and analyze massive amounts of streaming and
historical data, said on Monday that it has been acquired by Thomson Reuters,
the New York-based media and business information giant.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Thomson Reuters has been distributing Los Gatos, Calif.-based Vhayu's Velocity software under the Reuters Tick Capture Engine label for the last four years. "We're excited to extend the capabilities of our industry leading performance driven data feeds, data management and distribution architecture with Vhayu's scalable data capture engine," said Jon Robson, the president of enterprise at Thomson Reuters.
