New York
- BringIt, an online service that lets users wager real-world money and challenge
each other in console video games, is set to emerge from beta and officially
launch its service in the coming days, the Associated Press reported. The
service supports PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii titles, and the
site takes 10% of wagers and a $4 fee when bettors collect their winnings. The
company says the site is legal in 39 states, including California, as video games are considered
"skill" games rather than gambling and other games of chance.
