New York - Blog network Gawker Media experienced a distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) hacker attack over the weekend, CNET News.com reported. The attack was apparently launched against Consumerist, a site that Gawker sold to Consumer Reports but is still hosted on the same servers. The motive for the attack remains unclear.
