RCN to Offer TiVo Digital Video Recorders

Va. - RCN, a provider of bundled cable
television, Internet and voice services to more than 400,000 customers, said on
Wednesday that it has struck a deal with TiVo (NASD: TIVO) to offer special high-definition
digital video recorders to its residential and small business clients. Expected
to launch in early 2010, the TiVo DVR from RCN will integrate RCN's digital
programming and video-on-demand library with a variety of broadband video
programming. RCN offers its services in the DC, Philadelphia,
New York, Boston
and Chicago
markets.
