Calif. - Masher Media, the
developer of a virtual world aimed at children, announced that it has raised
$300,000 in seed funding from Tech Coast Angels, adding that the round will be
held open for the next month with an eye toward raising a total of $500,000.
Calabasas, Calif.-based Masher is developing MyMiniPeeps.com, an online virtual world for children ages 6 to 13. CEO Sherry Gunther has produced animated children's TV shows including "Rugrats" and "PowerPuff Girls," and also created kids social network ZooKazoo.com.
