Report: Apple Media Event on Sept. 9 Won't Include TabletAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on August 18, 2009 - 9:35am.
San Francisco
- Apple (NASD: AAPL) is planning a press conference on Sept. 9 at which it is expected to introduce
updated iPods and a new version of iTunes, but will not unveil its anticipated
tablet computer, All Things D reported.
Apple has typically used the first week of September to introduce new products that will be available for the holiday shopping season. It's unclear whether CEO Steve Jobs -- who recently returned to work after a six-month medical leave of absence, during which he underwent a liver transplant -- will deliver the keynote address on Sept. 9.
