St. Louis - Fanball, a unit
of Liberty Media (NASD: LINTA) that provides online fantasy sports contests and related
services, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired the fantasy sports assets
of F+W Media.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal includes F+W's National Fantasy Football Championship, National Fantasy Baseball Championship, Fantasy Sports Magazine and fantasy sports custom publications division. St. Louis-based Fanball was founded in 1992, and currently offers fantasy games for baseball, football, basketball, hockey, golf and auto racing.
