Los Angeles
- Apple (NASD: AAPL) has approved an iPhone streaming music application submitted by
Spotify, PaidContent reported.
The approval process for the application has
been closely watched, since Apple has recently rejected some it says duplicate
existing iPhone features, and has yet to approve the Google Voice application.
Spotify,
now available in parts of Europe but set to launch in the U.S. soon,
offers free streaming of songs with ads; an ad-free version is also available
for about $14 a month.
