Boulder, Colo. - OneRiot announced this week that it has secured $7 million in third round financing for its real-time search engine.

The round was led by previous backers Appian Ventures, Commonwealth Capital Ventures and Spark Capital.

Launched in November 2008, Boulder, Colo.-based OneRiot orders its search results based on PulseRank, which reflects real-time "buzz" measured by indexing Web pages that are shared by users on services like Twitter and Digg.

The company also created a panel of 3 million users, who have opted in to share real-time information with the service.

OneRiot will use the funds to further develop its core search product, and support its partner network.
