HD DVD Developer Toshiba Debuts First Blu-ray Player

Wayne, N.J. - Toshiba, developer of the now-defunct HD DVD format, on Thursday introduced its first Blu-ray player, based on rival Sony's technology. Set for release in November for $249, the BDX2000 supports BD-Live online interactive features, and features an SD card slot for displaying home videos and photos.
