Los Angeles
- The operators of BitTorrent search engine Isohunt, which is currently
battling copyright infringement lawsuits from the MPAA and CRIA, has launched a
new torrent site with social sharing features, TorrentFreak reported.
Hexagon.cc will allow users to start their own groups on the site, and share
content within various niches of interest. Users may then choose to share the
material privately, or in public. Hexagon also allows artists monetization like
fan donations and a cut of ad revenues. A judge ruled last week that the MPAA
has not proven that Isohunt users are violating U.S. copyright laws.
