Calif. - Evernote, a Web-based
service that helps consumers store Web page snippets and other personal media,
has raised an additional $2 million for its second round of funding from DoCoMo
Capital, bringing the round's total to $6.5 million.
Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Evernote claims 1 million users for its service, which lets users clip text, Web pages, audio files and other data and store it in a searchable locker. The service is available for computers as well as iPhone, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile. The company will use the funds for continued product development, including new applications for the Evernote service on a greater range of platforms and mobile handsets.
