McLean, Va. - Social news site Mixx said on Wednesday that
it has launched a new application designed to sift through the loads of content
posted through San Francisco-based microblogging service Twitter to flesh out
only links of interest. The app, called TweetMixx, allows Twitter users to
select key search terms and topics, then culls relevant links. It also
deciphers shortened URLs to more easily identify their topics, allows users to
follow subject matter -- rather than just people -- and finds the most popular
links being shared.
