New York - The U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) reports that its USOpen.org attracted 5.3 million unique users during its first week of live streaming video coverage of the tournament, up 60% from a year ago, PaidContent reported.

The site served 6.4 million streams, and the media console was launched nearly 1.4 million times. The average length of viewing was 3 hours, 10 minutes.

The company's iPhone application, which offered live audio streams, was downloaded 175,361 times.

PaidContent noted that the streams could have benefitted from confusing broadcast rights shared by CBS, ESPN and the Tennis Channel.
