Espoo, Finland - Nokia (NYSE: NOK) announced on Friday that it has
acquired certain assets of Plum Ventures, the developer of a cloud-based social
media sharing and messaging service for private groups.
Financial terms of the
transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2004, San Francisco-based Plum offers a social networking service for private
groups, such as families, schools or neighborhoods.
The company was backed by
Vulcan Capital and Levensohn Venture Partners.
