Wash. - Smilebox, a provider of multimedia
scrapbook services, announced on Friday that it has acquired Preclick, a
provider of print-to-retail photo software for retailers including Walmart and
Walgreens.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Founded in 2005, Redmond, Wash.-based Smilebox says 8 million people have installed the software, and more than 70 million Smileboxes have been played worldwide. Smilebox plans to integrate a custom version of its software that integrates Preclick for one-hour, direct-to-store printing.
