Sony, Frederator Studios to Produce Animated Feature Films

Culver City, Calif. - Sony (NYSE: SNE) Pictures Animation on Friday announced a multi-year deal with Frederator Studios to develop animated feature films. Frederator was founded in 1998 by Fred Seibert, former president of Hanna-Barbera. The company has developed franchises including "The Fairly Odd Parents," "Dexter's Laboratory" and "Samurai Jack," and in 2006 launched online video portal Next New Networks. The company's "Samurai Jack" is currently in development at Paramount.
