Palo Alto, Calif. - Facebook now counts 300 million users worldwide, and became cash flow positive in its last financial quarter, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced in a blog post on Tuesday. "We thank all of you for helping us reach the point where we are connecting 300 million people, and we hope to serve you and many more people in increasingly deep and innovative ways in the months and years ahead," Zuckerberg wrote.

In related news, Facebook's 300 million users will soon be able to engage in voice chat, through a feature provided by Vivox.

The service will not be offered by Facebook itself, but rather by Vivox, whose voice services count 15 million users and are integrated into the virtual world "Second Life."

Users with the Vivox plug-in will be able to launch voice chats, including large group discussions, and even include those not on Facebook via free dial-in numbers provided by Vivox.

Vivox will also enable third-party developers to integrate voice chat into their applications for Facebook.
