Cambridge,

possible deal to acquire online video firm Brightcove appear to be false,

Posting on his blog, Dan Rayburn reported that a trusted employee from one of the companies "confirmed with me that the rumor that Google is buying Brightcove is in fact false." On Wednesday, PBS Media Shift blog executive editor Mark Glaser reported on Twitter that, according to a "source with knowledge of deal," Brightcove was in talks with Google "about buyout in $500m to $700m range."
