London
- The chief executive of Spotify, the ad-supported streaming music service,
said this week that less than 10% of the company's more than 1 million
subscribers are paying for the premium version of the service, which costs
about $16.40 per month, Stuff.tv reported. Daniel Ek said that Spotify could be
profitable if it "chose to be," according to Stuff.tv, but instead is
focused on developing its business. Ek also said that the company's revenue is
increasing by 50% a month.
