Life Magazine Adds 1,860 Issues to Google Archives

New York - More than 1,860 issues of Life magazine have been added to Google's (NASD: GOOG) digital archives as part of the company's massive book-scanning project.

The issues span the years 1936-1972, and the digital index will include the articles, photographs and even original advertisements.

The placement follows a previous partnership between Life and Google, which saw the magazine post over 10 million images from its photography collection on Google Image Search.
