Qualcomm's FLO TV Introduces $249 Handheld Digital TV

San Diego - Wireless firm Qualcomm's (NASD: QCOM) FLO TV mobile TV unit on Wednesday introduced a handheld digital TV device, the FLO TV Personal Television, which will sell for $249 with content subscriptions starting at $8.99 when released later this fall. The device features a 3.5-inch touch-screen and built-in stereo speakers; measures 4.4 inches by 3 inches by .5 inches; and weighs just over 5 ounces.

FLO TV said battery life is over 5 hours, with 300 hours of standby.

The FLO TV subscription service offers full-length simulcast and time-shifted programming from providers including CNBC, Comedy Central, MSNBC, MTV, NBC, NBC 2Go, NBC News, NBC Sports and Nickelodeon.
