Authored by Jay Baage on October 8, 2009 - 6:28am.

Los Angeles - We are very fortunate to have over 300 of the most influential decision-makers in the music industry gathered in Los Angeles this week for our 2-day deal-makers forum Digital Music Forum West to network, do deals, and share ideas about the business. It kicked off yesterday with, among other things, a discussion on the intersection of Urban Music, technology and digital lifestyles with Garth Trinidad, Award-Winning DJ & Host for KCRW (pictured).

Today, Thursday, we have a full two track program with panels such as the "Social Strip": Owners and Execs from The Roxy Theatre, The Viper Room, Comedy Store, and Book Soup to discuss how an innovative group of club and small business owners bring new life to the Sunset Strip through using social media. Keynotes include Courtney Holt, President, MySpace Music and Tim Westergren, Chief Strategy Officer & Founder, Pandora.

Thanks for everyone who attended the conference and make sure to check back here for video interviews with some of the speakers. You can also follow the discussion on Twitter, search #dmf.
