Paris
- France-based video-sharing site Dailymotion has raised $22.1 million in new
financing, CEO Cedric Tournay told French business website Capital.fr.
Participating were the company's previous backers and one new investor, including Atlas Venture, Partech International, Advent Venture Partners and AGF Private Equity. The company, which counts 60 million monthly unique visitors, also recently achieved profitability. Tournay told Capital.fr that the company's bandwidth costs, however, are still rising faster than turnover, according to PaidContent, and that less than 10% of the site's videos feature advertising.
