New York - Conde Nast Digital, the online publishing arm of the veteran magazine publisher, has laid off more than 15 employees, most of whom worked in ad sales, Mediaweek reports.

The layoffs in the company's digital unit come a week after parent Conde Nast announced it would shutter its Gourmet, Cookie, Modern Bride and Elegant Bride titles, and lay off some 180 employees.

"We closed four businesses, and this is all part of an overall review of the entire company, and there will be cost reductions in expenses and workforce," a Conde Nast spokesperson told Mediaweek.

Sources also told Mediaweek that more layoffs are expected to come next week, as well as reductions in the frequency of publishing for other Conde Nast titles.
