Paris - France-based, ad-supported streaming music service Deezer has raised $9.6 million in its second round of financing, from AGF Private Equity and CM-CIC Capital Prive.

Deezer has licenses from all four major record labels, in addition to more than 1,000 independent labels.

The service counts 10 million users across Europe, 6 million of whom reside in France.

Deezer said the funds will be use to establish Odyssey Music Group, a parent company that will oversee ad sales and other areas, such as its mobile development.

The company's mobile streaming application has been downloaded over a million times.

Deezer has now raised a total of $18.1 million in financing since 2007.
