San Francisco
- Technorati, a search engine for blogs, has raised $2 million in new financing
from previous backers Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Mobius Venture Capital,
TechCrunch reported.
The additional capital is an extension to the $7.5 million fourth round of financing the company announced in June. Founded in 2002, San Francisco-based Technorati recently launched an online ad network for bloggers, and also acquired the Blogcritics blog network. CEO Richard Jalichandra told TechCrunch that he expects the new funds to take the company to profitability.
