GeekChicDaily Lands $1 Million for Email Newsletter

Los Angeles - GeekChicDaily, a technology news and information newsletter co-founded by former Sony Pictures CEO and current Mandalay Entertainment CEO Peter Gruber, Wizard Magazine founder Gareb Shamus, and entrepreneur Peter Levin, has raised about $1 million in funding, PaidContent reported.

Investors included Mandalay Corporate Enterprises, Kyoraku Yoshimoto Holdings, and Ken Wegner.

The free GeekChicDaily email will feature news and reviews covering movies, TV shows, video games, comics and gadgets.

Scott Gramling, the former editor-in-chief of FHM and Wizard, will head the company's editorial team.
