N.Y. - Aviary, a provider of
online digital content creation and editing software, announced on Monday that
it has closed a $7 million second round of financing, led by Spark Capital with
participation from Amazon.com (NASD: AMZN) founder Jeff Bezos' Bezos Expeditions.
New York-based Aviary offers a range of free online editing software, for images, graphic design, audio and visual effects, in addition to premium versions of its applications. The company's applications compete in the space with services like Picnik and Adobe's Photoshop.com.
