Kansas City, Mo. - Handmark, a distributor of mobile applications and
services, announced on Tuesday that Korea's Samsung Electronics has
launched a new Global Venture Fund, which will invest in companies and
individuals "with innovative, market-changing game ideas for next
generation Samsung mobile phones."
Handmark will manage the fund out of its Kansas City, Mo. and London offices in partnership with Samsung. The fund will provide up to $250,000 to each recipient to develop their ideas, while Handmark will also provide assistance with development, testing, certification and distribution of resulting applications. The deadline to submit entries for consideration is Nov. 20.
