ScanScout Lands $8.5 Million for In-Stream Video Ads

Boston - ScanScout, a provider of in-stream video advertising services, has raised $8.5 million in its second round of funding, led by Singapore-based EDB Investments.

Boston-based ScanScout provides pre-roll and overlay video advertising services to over 600 publishers, including RealNetworks, Fox News and Broadway.tv.

The company's online video ad network was ranked by comScore as the largest in July 2009.

ScanScout will use the funds to expand in the U.S. and new Asian markets.
