Nintendo to Release Larger DSi Handheld in Japan, Europe

Tokyo - Confirming earlier reports, Nintendo plans to release a new DSi handheld game system in Japan that sports a larger, 4.25-inch screen.

The DSi LL will sell for about $220 when it goes on sale in Japan on Nov. 21.

The company also plans to release the device in Europe in the first quarter of 2010, under the name DSi XL -- but did not mention any plans for a North American launch yet, CNET News.com noted.
