New York - Last.fm, the
music streaming service owned by CBS (NYSE: CBS), said on Tuesday that its integration with
Microsoft's (NASD: MSFT) Xbox Live online game service has resulted in nearly 1 million new
registrants in the U.S. and U.K. over the
past week. The company said it created more new user profiles during the first
24 hours of Xbox Live integration than at any other time in the service's
history. The company added that Xbox Live users have streamed over 120 million
minutes of music via Last.fm in the first week.
