Mountain View,
Calif. - Google (NASD: GOOG) has acquired
AppJet, the developer of an online collaborative word processor application
called EtherPad, according to a posting on EtherPad's blog.
The team behind San
Francisco-based AppJet will join the development team working on Wave, Google's
real-time communication application.
AppJet said that current EtherPad users
will be supported through March 31, 2010, at which time their creations will be
deleted.
AppJet had to date raised around $700,000 in funding.
